Nice Shaw quote about hanging. If you are a Shaw play fan, may I recommend the 1989 DVD of Shaw’s Arms & the Man? It demonstrates that professional actors can get hit their marks, get their lines right, and still totally screw up a play. That film should be studied by prospective actors, with the counsel, “Everything they did came together to suck all the comedy out of a good script. Anayze what they did, and don’t do that.”
